This is the time of the year that we start celebrating Christenings, First Communions, Bar-Mitzvahs, etc. People often ask me what do I think is appropriate for this kind of events, so I decided to write about and give you some tips and looks that will suit any of these occasions.
These kind of celebrations tends to be quite dressy, less than a wedding though, but still dressy enough to put on a cocktail dress or a something similar.
In this post I will be presenting you three different looks that apply for this kind of religious celebrations and that can be adopted easily.
Last week, I had the opportunity to celebrate my little niece Christening in Panama. It was such a lovely ceremony; I enjoyed my family and the weather was just perfect.
Since I was the GodMother, I decided to wear a white Lace dress, perfect for a Christening, symbol of purity. If you are a guest, I will say you can opt for any kind of color. I you are in my position, then try for white, ivory or pastel tones.

I wore nude sandals, but you can also go for white ones, to make a whole white look .
I literally fell in love with this dress and got so many compliments. Lace makes it looks delicate and elegant at the same time.
The details on this dress are so pretty; I love the fact is structured, so it has movement and at the same time, is different from what we are used to see elsewhere.
For these kind of occasions, Lace is the perfect fabric, so I found other versions that you might like, just click on the links.

As a second option, I have something more colorful and vibrant, yet chic and sophisticated. Is very airy and fresh and ultra feminine, perfect for this kind of occasions, that most of the times takes place during the daytime.
This is a perfect dress too because is lightweight, not exactly fitted to the body, so any kind of figure will look stunning on it and the color palette is gorgeous; I love that red and pink together. I paired it with beige patent slingback shoes, but gold sandals or even silver will go as well.
As per the Jewelry, I decided to wear a statement Lova & Moi earrings since I wasn’t wearing any necklace. On my wrist, 4 rang pearl bracelets that give that look a subtle touch.
As I say, ideally is to wear something elegant, but not exaggerated, where you feel comfortable and beautiful. Below, some other options, like this Bardot dress that comes in tons of different colors; Also, I am a fan of this blue lace dress, that by itself makes such a statement and is on sale, yeiiii! just click on the links:

My third option is a variation of a blouse and a skirt, (dedicated to those who aren’t fans of dresses), but still elegant and appropriate for the occasion. You will choose a decent skirt length, by that I mean not a sexy one. Also you can elevate the look by adding statement jewelry.
The result is a sophisticated look, by partnering these two pieces and by adding a gold belt. I decided to opt for gold heel slides to make it more trendy and modern.
I couldn’t find the same items, (they are no longer in stock), but I found similar.

What’s easy with this kind of look is that you aren’t obliged to have an ensemble. Sometimes you already have them in your wardrobe, so just use your creativity with nice pieces, match them and you are ready to go. The idea is to look elegant, but not overdone. Also, you may have simple pieces that you will elevate trough accessories.
